Football Trials Tips
Does it seems like anything you do doesn’t work? While for lower leagues, physicals are most important, what does it take to succeed in a football trial & enter professional football?
More than 90% of recruits will receive the devastating news that they just aren’t good enough for a career at the top of the game. There are a lot of young potential stars out there & very few places to be filled.
Most coaches aren’t looking for raw talent. You’re going to need it but the people in the know are looking for something else too... character & a few other things briefly mentioned below.
If you think you’ve got what it takes to succeed, you’ve got to give yourself the best possible chance of being spotted

Correct Mindset
Being on trial puts your mind to the test.
It is best to approach it with a positive mindset. Managers are not attempting to demonstrate that you are not good enough.
They are rooting for you.
They are fascinated by the prospect of discovering uncut diamonds. There is no need to do something extraordinary, like dribbling past ten men.
Take pleasure in the challenge and play to your strengths.
Remember: You will be evaluated based on your entire performance, not just a few highlights.
Positive Mental Attitude
Support your teammates without expecting anything in return. They should be encouraged. Maintain a polite demeanor toward everyone on and off the field.
You have come to play football, right?
That is your specialty. Keep that in mind. If it does not work out the first time, simply dust off your boots and try again. Do not give up once you have achieved your goal. Return to your previous position.
Remember: Be as humble in triumph as you are in defeat. Make sure you learn from your mistakes.
Mistakes are wonderful. Have a good time and smile.
Play to your strengths
Are you trying to figure out how to get rid of your flaws?
What if you flipped the script and focused on your talents instead?
It is impossible to excel in everything.
"Strengths are not things you are good at; they are things that make you stronger."
A strength is an activity that you look forward to doing before you do it; while you are doing it, time passes swiftly and you can concentrate; and when you have completed it, it appears to satisfy a need of yours."
according to Marcus Buckingham (an author & a strength strategist)
Remember: Forget about your flaws.
All of these signals should be communicated to say, "I’m here & I’m ready to be a professional footballer"
Be physically prepared
Get into the finest physical condition you can.
Prepare yourself for the tryout by doing a variety of long distance runs, speed work, and technical drills.
Demonstrate to the coach that you are physically fit. Demonstrate that you are physically capable of playing 90 minutes of high-intensity football.
Remember: There is just no reason why you should not be. By playing competitive football for only 50-60 minutes, you will dramatically reduce your chances of success in our football trials.
Awareness
Pay attention to the coach's directions.
Keep an eye on what is going on all across the field. Raise your head and scan the area.
Make mental maps of your opponents and teammates.
Get into the best position possible, both with and without the ball. Adapt to challenging situations and come up with innovative answers. Speak up. Make a big noise. Become a leader.
Remember: By concentrating on what you excel at, you can dramatically improve your chances of success in football.
Never give up
Negative information attracts a lot of attention. For every positive memory, people remember four negative ones.
Don't.
In antique shops, an antique watch is priceless; in modern ones, it is useless. Continue looking until you locate a club that can assess your genuine ability and meet your expectations.
Experts are always made, not born. Go all the way... NEVER GIVE UP
Remember: Football is an opinion game. Everybody has one
